3D Printing - Material Properties.
 

Our "Smooth \ Fine" 3D printing service is based on acrylic-based photopolymer materials. These materials are used to create highly accurate 3D models and parts with fine detail which may be used in a wide range of Rapid Prototyping and Rapid Manufacturing applications.

Material options for your parts and 3D models include:

  • Blue - the default material for our rigid 'Fine Detail' service.

In addition we offer a 'True ABS' for applications where production in ABS is required:

"Smooth \ Fine":

The classic choice of material for printed parts gives your 3D models and parts toughness, dimensional stability and excellent detail visualisation. Unless instructed we'll base our quote & production on using our default 'White' material described immediately below:

Polypropylene - Like. Our Polypropylene like material aimed at applications requiring Polypropylene-like appearance, flexibility, strength and toughness. This gives you a 'softer' rigid material making it very good for producing parts that feature snap-fit fasteners or living hinges. It is more robust than the standard 'Vero' materials as it is less brittle.
